Cellophane is regenerated cellulose film and can be transparent or coloured. According to its use and the required level of protection, it has different characteristics.
It is available as: natural regenerated cellulose for applications where no protection against oxygen and water vapour is required, but it is not suitable for food contact.Bi or mono-lacquered, heat-sealing and non-heat sealing for applications where protection against water vapour and oxygen is required. It is suitable for direct food contact.
In order to decide the required functional barrier it is important to specify the final use.
Use:
It is suitable for ribbon packaging of: jelly and non-jelly sweets, pralines, chocolate, Cuneesi chocolates, Boeri chocolates and candies.
